The Community Christmas Party was held on Friday 7th December. The Shire would like to thank the following groups and local businesses for their participation and assistance at the event this year:
- Milly Molly Mandy’s for their Gingerbread decorating stalls
- Brookton Community Resource Centre for organising the face painter
- Brookton Supermarket for the lollies and sausage sizzle supplies
- Brookton Meats for the sausages
- Arts and Crafts for opening for the evening and Judy Williams for organising the photography display
- Finer Things Revisited for opening and serving treats for all the kids
- Phil Teede for once again providing vintage car rides
- Brookton Police for the Blue Light Disco equipment
- Brookton Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Service for delivering Santa! (Thank you Santa for paying a visit to Brookton!)
- The Choral Society for their wonderful carolling
- Bendigo Bank for running the sausage sizzle
The Shire would also like to thank organising committee volunteers Dannielle Keatley, Jaz Locke, Peter Keoh and Katie Rigg for their time and efforts. Without their help this event would not have been able to go ahead.
