The Shire of Brookton is responsible for the control of land use and the design and sitting of all buildings proposed to be constructed in the district with the object of improving, preserving or enhancing existing amenities. This is guided by the Shire's Town Planning Scheme No. 4, Planning Policies and Residential Design Guidelines.
